“Gift from Nature”

I let this stone rest on a table in my house for perhaps more than twenty years without having the anxiety of brushing it. It is not easy to find these subtle landscape gifts of Palombino intact. Layered sedimentary stone, if positioned as it originated, the increasingly thinner layers are upwards… and this wonder was exactly as placed on top of the boulder that emerged from the ground: already separated from the block below; waiting to give herself as a gift to Luciana who was wandering intently around there. The dimensions of this stone are 31 x 20 x 7 cm.

A gift, yes, a special gift that was given to you without being worthy of it.
