“Untitled”

By Heip Ninh

The small circle on this Dai Nga River stone represents the face of an abstract Zen master. The shape of the circle is quite proportional, balanced, and harmonious compared to the whole stone. The roundness of the stone shows the rolling and soft wear of water and sand in nature. In particular, the patina on this stone is like the mark of time that has long given me deep emotions when admiring the stone. Abstract-shaped stones sometimes have a stronger attraction than simple ones.

The natural driftwood helps the stone stand in its most prominent direction. This driftwood helps the viewer imagine the clouds surrounding the Zen master. This stone is 26 x 15 x15 cm and is in the private collection of Heip Ninh in Viet Nam.
