Ibi River
Ibi River, Gifu and Mie Prefectures
The Ibi River, originating in Gifu Prefecture, flows southward through Mie Prefecture, and is one of the three tributaries of the Kiso River. It is the source of many waterfall stones due to the presence of quartz veins in many of the stones. These stones are often worked or enhanced to improve their appearance as natural stones.
