The Meihinten was the leading national exhibition of Japanese Viewing stones from its inception in 1961 through 2014 when the new Japan Suiseki Exhibition replaced the Meihenten as the premier national show. The Meihinten is held in the Meiji Shrine in Tokyo each year. A catalog of each exhibition was published in conjunction with the exhibit. The catalog is an important record of outstanding Japanese suiseki. This is the catalog #48 for the exhibit held in 2008. It is in fine condition.
