Spain is a country in southwestern Europe with Mediterranean and semi-arid climates (extreme southeastern region). There are many mountain ranges and high plateaus in Spain. The Pyrenees mountains in the northeastern region occur along the border with France. The highest point in Spain is Mt. Teide at 3,718 meters (12,198 feet). These stones were collected in the Basque Country and in the Navarrese Pyrenees by Rafael Monje Garcia.
