Ink Lake

Ink Lake Mohu shi

Ink Lake or Mohu stones are irregularly shaped, soft black limestone dug from sandy river banks near Liuzhou. These stones are occasionally lightly streaked with white veins and can resemble Taihu or some Lingbi stones. Ink Lake stones were more popular in the 1990s and early 2000 than they are today. They are frequently carved to enhance their shape.
